KitKat Ice Cream Cones Review
It’s January. The coldest month of the year for most of us, but obviously the best time of the year for companies to release new ice cream flavors. I’ve never figured why, but the month of January is seriously when most of the new ice cream flavors hit shelves. No joke. Even though summer is still several months away. I’m not complaining, because we were able to find these new KitKat Ice Cream Cones and break the news to the snack world on Instagram that these were a thing. These KitKat Ice Cream Cones weren’t announced anywhere. Not on social media. Not on their website. No press releases. They just surprised us!
All employees here at SnackGator (just kidding…it’s just Jeni and I, and we do this just for fun) were ecstatic when we stumbled across these! The classic KitKat we have all grown up with — now in ice cream cone form! Of course we had to pick up a box to review for the world! We not only provide breaking snack news, but we also help you decide if snacks are worth your money or not. Let’s find out!
Let’s start with the chocolatey coating. This chocolate shell isn’t any ordinary chocolate shell…it’s got KitKat wafer pieces embedded into it! Underneath the delicious shell is the creamy and delicious vanilla ice cream. This ice cream is slightly thicker in consistency compared to a classic Drumstick cone and is a tad sweeter. After a few bites, you’ll hit the rich fudge center, which is very comparable to the Drumstick fudge center (if not identical). The cone itself is crispy, sugary, and lined with chocolate on the inside. Once you get to the bottom of the cone, you’re in for a treat because it’s filled with rich “chocolate-y nugget”.
If you’ve ever had a Drumstick cone (I’m sure most of you have), these are incredibly similar to them. It makes sense, since Nestle is behind them both, but it would’ve been nice to see a little more unique additions. The biggest difference with these KitKat Cones is the wafer pieces embedded into the chocolate shell. I would’ve loved to see bits of KitKat mixed within the vanilla ice cream for more of a KitKat experience.
All in all these, are a definite buy! If you love KitKat, I guarantee you’ll enjoy these. Break me off a piece of that KitKat Bar ice cream cone! Now…just waiting on a Reese’s version of these and my life is complete.

Buy two packs of the eight count every week and a half for my 95 year old world war II friend, but the past few boxes have not been very good at all the cones are not crispy and there’s no chocolate nugget or lining inside them, he is not very happy
