Oreo came out swinging in 2019. Tons of new launches and this year is still like a week old. We should probably rename the blog “Oreo Gator” at this point. New Dark Chocolate Oreos are here and they are here permanently! There’s a few things in life that will always remain constant for me:

1. I’m a loser food blogger and always will be
2. My ‘workout’ consists of snack hunting
3. Everything is ‘healthy’ if you want it to be…

Dark Chocolate Oreos are officially here, and they are ‘healthy’ because I want them to be. It’s a new year, so my loser self went on an extreme ‘workout’ hunting down these new Dark Chocolate Oreos. After what seemed to be like 29 Target stops, 47 Walmart stops, and 16 Meijer stops… I finally found them. At Kroger. Out of all places. Whatever — my workout has paid off! How are these healthy, you might ask?

Dark chocolate is loaded with nutrients that can benefit you health and wellbeing. Studies indicate that dark chocolate can lower the risk of heart disease and improve your overall health. Not only that, but it is also a powerful source of antioxidants and also may lower your blood pressure. Going back to my third point. Yup — these Dark Chocolate Oreos are healthy. You just gotta look at everything in a positive light!

These new Dark Chocolate Oreos are insanely good. And this is coming from a guy who isn’t a big dark chocolate fanatic. They feature a deep, rich chocolate scent that strikes you immediately. They smell almost like brownie batter! Onto the the taste, these are most definitely dark chocolate! I was hesitant about trying these, but I am so glad I did.

Usually, dark chocolate is accompanied by a weird bitter aftertaste. Thankfully, there’s no bitter aftertaste with these! They hands down nailed it. The smooth, rich, and deep chocolate creme pairs so nicely with the chocolate wafer cookies and you’re left in chocolate heaven. Just note that it is easy to get sick of these pretty fast. I’m not sure if it is because I am not a fan of the chocolate overload, but after eating three of them, I had to put them away. Then, a few hours later, I went back for three more. To wrap this up…these are a definite buy and don’t ever forget point number one on my list. I am a loser food blogger and always will be. Oreo Gator for ever!!!!
