Cheez-It Snap’d Review

Cheese.  It’s comfort food. It’s an exotic getaway in your mind.  It’s (sometimes) better than sex. Cheese can help you transform – eat a soft stinky cheese to become a posh, uppity snob in a fancy house.  Or on the other end of the spectrum, you can spray it out of a can onto a cracker and embrace your chubby side.  We love cheese, because cheese is life.
Naturally, we are enamoured with Cheez-It. This is one company that definitely has a great marketing team behind them.
From the super fun You Choose the Champion campaign to innovative textures of the Cheez-It Grooves, and the ever creative Cheez-It Duoz, they are always coming up with something badass. And cheesy, of course.  So, we’re proud to introduce the latest invention from Cheez-It…. *drum roll*…. Cheez-It Snap’d!
These are thin, crispy Cheez-It snacks that combine cheese with other popular snack flavors.  Oh yes, they went there.  Double Cheese (marrying cheese + cheese is genius), Jalapeño Jack, Cheddar Sour Cream & Onion, and White Cheddar & Bacon.  If you aren’t drooling, step aside and allow us to drool for you and munch down on these bad boys for the first time.

Cheez-It Snap’d Double Cheese

Jason’s Take: I wanna take a second to just talk about how amazing the texture is on these new Snap’d snacks. Thin, crispy, crunchy, and chip-like. This Double Cheese flavor is a bold cheddar flavor that I know you’ll absolutely love because it tastes like a bolder Cheez-It! Delicious.
Jeni’s Take: Cheese + Cheese = GENIUS!  These are a bold cracker/chip that scream, “I AM A DAIRY PRODUCT!”  It’s got a great crunch to it and that salty, creamy cheddar comes at you hard.  My mouth watered while these were in my mouth.  If that doesn’t tell you how good they are, I give up.

Cheez-It Snap’d Jalapeño Jack

Jason’s Take: Creamy jack cheese hits your tongue right away, leaving me wondering where the jalapeno part of the flavor was? Ahhh there it is. As soon as you swallow, the heat hits you. It’s a very mild heat that goes perfectly with the jack cheese. We all know of pepper jack cheese — this is pretty much what it tastes like!
Jeni’s Take:  I absolutely love Jack Cheese.  I do not like jalapeno.  I’m not a spicy fan – however, the kick on these was totally worth it because of that milky Jack Cheese.  I’m all about these, which is pretty surprising, because that heat in the back of my tongue and throat is usually uncomfortable.  Pairing it with Jack really toned it down and let the actual flavor of jalapeno come out.

Cheez-It Snap’d Cheddar Sour Cream & Onion

Jason’s Take: Wow. The cheddar meets sour cream & onion perfectly in this flavor. A bold cheddar flavor is followed the sour cream portion to make for a creamy, tangy, cheddary, delicious snack. These are sure to be a hit with absolutely everyone.
Jeni’s Take:  This might be my favorite chip combination ever.  And holy crap, they nailed it.  I absolutely love the flavors that came out in this cracker/chip – the kick of the green onion, the tang of sour cream and that bold creaminess and saltiness of the cheddar.  Perfect marriage in this combo.

Cheez-It Snap’d White Cheddar & Bacon

Jason’s Take: OMG!! Smokey bacon and bold white cheddar combine to make my favorite flavor! The white cheddar is is smooth, tangy, and downright delicious. The smokey bacon flavor compliments it so well and you’re left with heavenly snack that won’t disappoint.
Jeni’s Take:  Lord, take me now.  I just ate the most badass chip/cracker thing ever!  That stout white cheddar’s tang seriously married with the salty, smokey bacon flavor.  Ok, I changed my mind. This is my favorite now… maybe.  Damnit, they are all so good!
So, are you drooling NOW?  If not, please remove yourself, as you do not belong here.  All of you other Worshippers of the Cheese, your life is not complete until you have had these tasty treats!  The flavor match-ups are absolutely perfect and make total sense. Bow down to Cheese, fellow dairy fans, and behold, Cheez-It Snap’d!

When I'm not stuffing my face with salty treats made of pure carbohydrates, I'm working out and trying to sweat out the excessive calories I ate.  I live in Dallas, Texas and absolutely love it.  This is the state that fries everything, serves 2 pound chicken fried steak dinners with at least 2 sides that are beautiful, tan and delicious. I eat tacos with ketchup, consider wine and popcorn a meal, put bacon on everything and will slap a fool if he asks for a bite of my beef jerky.

I steal my nieces’ Halloween candy and laugh about it, put whipped cream on vegetables, don’t trust food that isn’t in a package, and worship ice cream. Chips are my favorite snack and might just end up being my downfall. I would marry Flamin' Hot Cheetos if it was legal (and not weird). Born and raised near Detroit, I grew up eating delicious coney dogs, unique pizzas, and of course --- all the best snacks.

  • O M G I am not sure that I have ever tasted anything as good as CHEEZ-IT SNAP’D. I have onley tasted the double cheese but I can eat a whole bag by myself. I had my first bag several weeks ago and that was it. I was in love like never before. WELL after that it was a while before I was able to find another bag – one bag. Then again looking and looking, was finally able to find one more bag tonight. That bag is almost gone. I have loved CheezNow Its since I was a very young girl (I am 76 now) . so you can see that was a looong time ago. My goal now is to find all of the other flavors because this bag is now history. Thank you so much.

  • I discoverd snapd at walgreens a few months ago. I was tired of potato chips. I was amazed at the look, texture, and taste. They are very good with a unique flavor.

  • I love them! They kind of remind me of those duck-shaped crackers I had as a little 3 to 4 year-old in the 80s… or at least I love them as much as I loved those crackers! The double cheddar, sour cream & onion, and jalapeños jack flavors are all so good. I can’t pick a favorite of them.

I haven’t tried the white cheddar bacon flavor though. It’s not carried in the stores where I live. That’s alright; I’m not a big fan of bacon or bacon flavored things anyways.
