White Chocolate Peanut M&M’s Review

I feel like I’ve lived a lie. Like I just learned that Santa doesn’t actually exist, all over again. All my life, I’ve thought that white chocolate isn’t really chocolate. I’ve been told that when being ridiculed and condemned for loving white chocolate.  And now, I find out – it is.  It’s a chocolate derivative. It has cocoa butter in it, and that’s from cocoa beans. Cocoa beans make chocolate. White chocolate gets a bad rap, and it needs to stop. The truth is out there now.

M&M’s has had some pretty clever flavors lately.  We saw the Peanut Brrr-ittle, Cookies n Scream, and even Neapolitan Ice Cream just to name a few.  It’s about damn time there’s a white chocolate in the peanut variety. Regular M&M’s got their white chocolate debut in May of 2017. At least it’s here now. I’ve always prefered Peanut M&M’s over regular any day, so I’m super excited to try these!

I opened the bag, and wasn’t surprised. It looks like a bag of Peanut M&M’s. I tried one and was delightfully surprised.  They didn’t skimp on that super vanilla, sweet and milky flavor at all!  That creamy, cozy taste that white chocolate offers is right there. I do have to say that it’s not the best quality white chocolate, however, M&M’s isn’t really known for white chocolate. The more I eat, the more I realize that it tastes like sweetened condensed milk – which has a ton of the same qualities that white chocolate offers. It’s wrapped in that classic candy shell, while hugging a peanut. I love the flavors that the white chocolate and peanut offer together, too. It reminds me of white chocolate bark with nuts in it that I find during the holidays.  In fact, that’s pretty much exactly what these taste like!

Do I love them more than regular Peanut M&M’s? No, but I wouldn’t pass these up, either. Will I buy them again?  Probably. If my white chocolate craving kicks in, this will be my go-to candy. And I guarantee I’ll be finishing off this big ole Sharing Size bag of these babies.  By myself. So back off.

White chocolate is still chocolate, damnit.  You can keep your stupid healthy dark chocolate and your addicting milk chocolates.  I’ll take white chocolate over those any day.  And yes, that still makes me a chocolate lover.

When I'm not stuffing my face with salty treats made of pure carbohydrates, I'm working out and trying to sweat out the excessive calories I ate.  I live in Dallas, Texas and absolutely love it.  This is the state that fries everything, serves 2 pound chicken fried steak dinners with at least 2 sides that are beautiful, tan and delicious. I eat tacos with ketchup, consider wine and popcorn a meal, put bacon on everything and will slap a fool if he asks for a bite of my beef jerky.
