Pringles 7-Layer Dip Review
Being a junk food lover, the start of football season is one of my favorite times of the year for several reasons. First, the obvious — I get to watch football. Secondly, I get to root for my fantasy football players so I can win some cash (I have to pay for my snack addiction somehow, right?). And lastly, junk food. Ahhh yes, my favorite reason to love the football season (hey, that rhymed).
Chicken wings, spinach dip, sliders, pizza, guacamole, jalapeno poppers, potato skins. Seven layer dip.
See? I’m onto something. Football season brings out all of the best junk food. Pringles offers its own take one of the classic appetizers for football season — 7-Layer Dip! This limited edition flavor is a 7-Eleven exclusive. We got our hands on some and couldn’t wait to share our thoughts with you! Will 7-Layer Dip Pringles be the MVP of junk food this 2018 football season? Let’s find out…
Each of the seven layers found in 7-layer dip adds so much to the appetizer — refried beans, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, lettuce, grated cheddar cheese, and black olives. Somehow, someway, Pringles nails every aspect of 7-layer dip in this chip. The refried beans, slightly spicy salsa, the creaminess of the sour cream, the guacamole, the sweet tomatoes, the saltiness of the olives….you get it. It’s all there. I even pick up on hints of lettuce. It’s legitimately incredible how you can pick up on all parts of the dip, in chip form.
The ‘salsa’ part of the dip is leaves a mildly spicy aftertaste, really giving you the 7-layer dip vibes. All of the 7-layer dip that I have ever had left me with a somewhat spicy aftertaste, and they nailed this aspect here.
Even with actual 7-layer dip, you still need chips to eat it with. Pringles has just made it SO much easier on us. 7-layer dip really is a crucial part of football season, but it just got even more real now that we can enjoy it in chip form. Pringles, you truly are the MVP this football season. No doubt, I will be snacking on this flavor on game day, or any chance I get really. I just wish this flavor would stay on shelves permanently. It’s THAT good! Now, let’s just hope my fantasy football team can pull through so I can win money to wipe out all shelves. Go SpongeBob ScorePants!
