Javamelts Review

Coffee is the nectar of The Gods. If you think that’s an exaggeration, then you probably aren’t human. I’m a coffee fanatic. I drink it all day, every day, and can’t get enough. It’s not the caffeine that I love – it’s the bean. I drink chicory, French press, espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, Americano, macchiato…. I LOVE coffee. I’ll drink it black, with cream and sugar, or flavored creamers. When I heard about this new flavored sweetener, I knew I had to do a Javamelts review. I’m the queen of coffee, so who better to check out a new coffee product!?

Javamelts are flavored sweeteners for coffee or tea.  These individually wrapped little blocks of yummy are non-dairy, and have 5-6 grams of real sugar in them.  Plus, they are just 20 calories each. With flavors like Hazelnut, French Vanilla, Caramel and Mocha, you can take your coffee to the next level with you anywhere you go to always have a blast of sweet flavor in your coffee or tea.

They were created by Carolyn Barbarite – this crazy beautiful, crazy cool lady who got the idea for Javamelts when her husband was pouring her a cup of coffee on Valentine’s Day. *insert jealous facial expression here*  She and her cutie patootie husband were high school sweethearts and have been married for 27 years. They share three gorgeous daughters and a love for coffee.  Could this story sound anymore like a fairytale!?  To top it off, Javamelts is an NYS Certified Women Owned Business.

I brewed some fresh coffee and got excited to try these!  There are four flavors, which means I’ll be drinking four cups of coffee.  And I’m totally ok with that 🙂

First up – Caramel.  I’m expecting that super sweet, brown sugar & butter flavor that’s classic caramel.  I dropped in one Javamelts, and watched it dive into my coffee.  I stirred it up, and took a sip and was immediately impressed. Normally, I prefer the creaminess of creamer or milk in my coffee, but somehow, I didn’t need it with Javamelts. It’s silky smooth, and offers a consistent release of caramel flavor. It’s perfectly sweet, too, and doesn’t overpower the taste of my coffee. Brown sugar, butter and a slight nuttiness was exactly what I got.  Just for fun, I added second Javamelts to see if it would be too sweet – since they recommend one to two per 8 ounces of coffee.  The yummy flavor was enhanced, as well as the sweetness.  I love that there’s the option to sweeten your coffee even more, depending on your preference.

Next I tried Mocha. Daaaaaang!  This was silky smooth with a nice, classic mocha taste.  There’s no guessing with these Javamelts – they offer exactly what they claim to, and the flavors are spot on! That dreamy, milk chocolate + coffee flavor in mocha is absorbed in the coffee immediately.

Hazelnut is one of my favorite flavor additions to coffee. I had great expectations for this one. Normally, I buy hazelnut creamer, but after plopping 1 Hazelnut Javamelt into my coffee, I was in heaven. No need for a bulky container of creamer anymore – I can just use Javamelts!  It’s a subtly sweet, perfectly nutty and slightly creamy flavor that nailed the hazelnut taste I love so much. It’s seriously perfect.

I finally tried the French Vanilla. This is probably the most classic flavor choice. There’s not much to say about this Javamelts, other than it’s rich, creamy, sweet and silky. Exactly what you would expect from French Vanilla flavoring. I adore it, and, again, didn’t need creamer or milk to soften the coffee.

These Javamelts are a coffee lovers dream.  They’re more convenient and smaller than a container of creamer, cleaner than spooning in sugar, and tastier than those overly processed syrups.  Plus, they cater to specific diets, too!  Javamelts are Certified Gluten Free, Vegan, Dairy/Lactose Free, Transfat free, Non-GMO, and contain no artificial sweeteners. EVERY coffee fanatic can enjoy them!

When I'm not stuffing my face with salty treats made of pure carbohydrates, I'm working out and trying to sweat out the excessive calories I ate.  I live in Dallas, Texas and absolutely love it.  This is the state that fries everything, serves 2 pound chicken fried steak dinners with at least 2 sides that are beautiful, tan and delicious. I eat tacos with ketchup, consider wine and popcorn a meal, put bacon on everything and will slap a fool if he asks for a bite of my beef jerky.
