Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Oreo Review

Chocolate or peanut butter? Obviously both. Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie combines the best of both worlds into one absolutely delicious pie. However, did you ever notice how chocolate peanut butter pie isn’t really a common pie? Why isn’t it around more? We usually see apple pie, cherry pie, blueberry pumpkin pie, and key lime pie. Everyone seems to forget what matters most… chocolate and peanut butter. Oreo is paying tribute to this forgotten, but delicious pie with the launch of their latest flavor — Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie.

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Oreos feature graham wafers and peanut butter and chocolate flavored creme. The creme isn’t one solid flavor; it uses half peanut butter and half chocolate creme. Just going by looks, the creme reminds me exactly of the discontinued Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Oreo. That Oreo flavor was easily my absolute favorite flavor and if Snack Gator was around then for me to review, I would’ve given it a perfect rating. The only difference I notice between these and the old Reese’s Oreos is that these cookies use a graham wafer and the Reese’s cookies used a chocolate wafer.

Before I go all in and eat the cookies as a whole, I want to sample the creme first. I first try the chocolate creme and it’s delicious. Reminds me a bit like Nutella. The peanut butter creme is just heavenly. What I really like the most about the creme is that it has the same slight ‘grittiness’ you normally find in the peanut butter found in Reese’s. I am pretty sure I am falling in love…the Reese’s Oreo I absolutely loved a a few years ago is finally back in my hands.

The time has come for me to try the cookie as whole. The graham wafer goes hand in hand with the chocolate peanut butter creme. While you still taste the graham flavor, the chocolate peanut butter filling flavor is what you notice most. It’s a perfect combination. Just like any pie…you do taste the graham cracker portion of the pie, but it’s not what you notice first. These are Oreos are perfect. Not only do they give me the Reese’s Oreos vibes, but I also get the sense that I am actually eating a chocolate peanut butter pie. The gritty creme and the texture of the graham wafers go together so very well.

While the old Reese’s Oreos used a chocolate wafer, I honestly prefer these graham wafers since the chocolate flavor is already there in the creme. I’m just going to get to the point here. If you like Reese’s, buy these. If you like peanut butter, buy these. There’s no other way to put it. They are simply amazing.

You wanna know what the best part is? There’s no ‘limited edition’ wording on the package! Which means that these are probably here to stay. You don’t have to go rush out and grab these since they will be around for a while, but still go rush out and grab these since they’re absolutely delicious. Oreo has made a strong case as to why chocolate peanut butter pie should be more common. Go buy these and you’ll be demanding chocolate peanut butter pie instead of the usual apple or pumpkin pie. #ChocolatePeanutButterPieForLife

Lastly, I want to conclude by saying that these are my all time favorite Oreos (besides the original variety). They are THAT good. Snack Gator wasn’t around when the Reese’s Oreos existed, but I am so glad Snack Gator is here now so I can give this Oreo a perfect rating.

I steal my nieces’ Halloween candy and laugh about it, put whipped cream on vegetables, don’t trust food that isn’t in a package, and worship ice cream. Chips are my favorite snack and might just end up being my downfall. I would marry Flamin' Hot Cheetos if it was legal (and not weird). Born and raised near Detroit, I grew up eating delicious coney dogs, unique pizzas, and of course --- all the best snacks.
