Rold Gold Flamin’ Hot Thin Crisps Pretzels Review
If I ever had to get stranded on an island and I got to take one snack with me, it definitely would be Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and I go way back. Some of my earliest memories include eating a $.25 bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos that I brought with my in my kindergarten lunch. As pathetic as it sounds, I am not kidding. This is pretty much me.
When I walked by these new Rold Gold Flamin’ Hot Thin Crisps Pretzels at Meijer, my eyes lit up! Frito-Lay made no announcements or gave no hints that this was coming. It just appeared on the shelf and I obviously I couldn’t resist. Anything with “Flamin’ Hot” on the bag and I’ll buy it. It works out in the end…not only am I going to eat the shit out of this bag, but you guys get to hear about how I liked it — from a Flamin’ Hot expert point of view. 😉
These pretzels are of the ‘Thin Crisps’ variety, which only means they are flatter than ordinary pretzels. I took a peek inside the bag when I first opened it and my first thought was “hell yes”. I see a ton of Flamin’ Hot seasoning on them. Firey goodness. Firey gold. Firey heaven. I grab a pretzel, and before eating it, I examine it carefully. There’s seriously seasoning on every bit of the pretzel. I don’t know how they did it…the seasoning is even on the sides of the pretzels. Pretty much gives you classic Flamin’ Hot fingers.
I bite into one and at first, am pretty disappointed. I basically taste the pretzel itself with a little tiny Flamin’ Hot kick. I eat a few more and my disappointment completely goes away. The heat is delayed, but it does come after eating a few. What does it taste like? Spot on Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. They nailed it. The heat lingers in your mouth a little bit longer than ordinary Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. I don’t think there’s much else to say about these because I am pretty sure we all know what Flamin’ Hot Cheetos taste like. Go buy these!
