Dunkin’ Donuts Mocha Oreos Review
Most of America wakes up and immediately need good ol’ cup of coffee to get their day going. We’re all pretty much zombies until we start getting coffee in our systems. Nabisco finally figured out that it was about time to release a coffee flavored Oreo. I mean, it makes perfect sense to do so since they’ve released a lot of questionable flavors recently such as Peeps Oreos and Swedish Fish Oreos…and I think most of us can agree that those were absolutely horrible. Teaming up with Dunkin’ Donuts to finally release a coffee flavored Oreo was genius move by Nabisco for two reasons: A) It can’t possibly be flavored like cough syrup like the Peeps and Swedish Fish Oreos and B) America runs on Dunkin’.
I quickly opened the package and took an enormous whiff. All I could smell were Oreos….regular classic Oreos. I thought I was missing something, so I picked one up and smelled one up close. I still didn’t get any coffee scent — they definitely just smelled like plain old Oreos to me. The good news is that I didn’t buy these for the smell. Obviously, my snack craving, Oreo loving stomach made me buy them.
I popped one into my mouth and I was pretty impressed. I immediately tasted a strong mocha flavor. A few chews later and the mocha flavor is definitely there, perfectly balanced with the chocolate cookie wafers. The mocha creme is sweet, mild, and perfectly complements the standard Oreo chocolate cookies. Even after a few minutes, I still tasted the mocha flavor and I was still pretty shocked how great this cookie really tasted. I did notice, however, that the creme in this Oreo is a tad bit more gooey in comparison to regular Oreos. I found myself chewing them a bit more, but by no means was it too gooey.
Overall, I wasn’t expecting too much, but Oreo definitely nailed this one. I’m pretty amazed “instant coffee” is one of the last ingredients on the back of the package…the coffee flavor is very prominent.
I already know what’s for breakfast tomorrow — Mocha Oreos and coffee! If we could somehow get Oreo to pack these cookies with as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, my life would be all set. If you are debating whether or not you want to buy these…go do it now (unless you hate coffee and hate yourself). I’m pretty bummed that these are a limited edition flavor, but for the time being, I’ll be buying them while I can!

Summary
Get these while you can because good limited edition Oreos are hard to come by! And they're freaking delicious.
[…] has been two years since the last coffee-related Oreo launch. Back in 2017, we were blessed with Dunkin’ Donuts Mocha Oreos. That one was a limited-time only flavor, and I was extremely sad about that since I was a big fan. […]
